A Recent Purchase

For several months now we have been looking for a computer armoire that would look good in our parlor. I found one on line that I really liked but it was very expensive. I checked out lots of furniture stores and even looked at antiques that could be changed up. Bonnie gave me the idea to look at KSL classifieds and I came up with several options. This was my favorite and we were able to buy it and had a mover move it up from Kaysville for a fraction of the cost of the one I had originally wanted.



Dennis had gotten a new computer and monitor for Christmas so we finally got them out of the box. Alyna got everything hooked up and programed. Andrew and Lindsay came over and figured out how to get internet to it until we get the router moved down from upstairs. There are still some things to work out and get set up but it is a big first step in getting the parlor and closet usable.

What Do You Think About Your Friends?

That seems like a silly question. If I didn't love them and think that they were amazing, talented, loving, caring, and fun they wouldn't be my friends. I have been blessed with so many different friends and each has enriched and blessed my life in so many ways that I couldn't even begin to list the impact for good that each person has made. I'm trying to think of a good analogy - maybe they're like a chandelier - each giving light in it's own place so that the total effect is brilliant and a joy to behold. (Is that corny?) Anyway, I love my friends!

Since I need to have dinner ready in 45 minutes and I haven't started it yet, I don't have time to do this topic justice. Hopefully I can remember to post a blog sometime about "sisterhood" and what it has meant to me throughout my life.

Someone You'd Love to Spend a Day With

I love spending time with my family. My kids are so fun to be with. We love playing games and we are also pretty good at working together. We have taken many great road trips together and even though they are all growing up and moving on, it is still so much fun to spend time with each of them.

A Picture of Someone You Could Never Imagine Your Life Without.

This handsome guy has been a part of my life for almost 30 years. It is impossible to imagine the person I would be without him. He has helped me gain confidence in myself and has encouraged me to do a lot of things I never would have thought I could do. He is always supportive of the things I am involved in and is a great helper when I need him. He has taken me to many places both near and far that I would never have the courage or energy to go if he wasn't there planning and making everything go smoothly.

He is a great father to our children, always willing to help them solve problems or doing what needs to be done to keep them safe.

I am so grateful he is my eternal companion.

Something That You Are Afraid Of

A little ol' boat?

I would be okay sitting in this little boat in peaceful water . But add and little wind and waves....

I would be terrified.

(Just ask Jessica, Alyna, of Tina about being out on Jenny Lake when a storm blew in.)

I have ridden on a large ferry such as this one that runs back and forth across the English Channel. That was just fine because it doesn't bounce around in the water much.

And, I think I would enjoy a boat ride on a boat this big.

But I guess I will have to try it out to see.

Something You Would Like To Do Before You Die

Make a prize winning quilt

I would love to create a masterpiece but I will need to develop a lot of patience. I love quilt projects that come together quickly(less than a month) and I'm not very good at geometry or applique so it will have to be just the perfect project or I have a lot to learn.
